Four Potain MDT219 out of a total of six top slewing cranes have been stationed to work at Petrojet's latest job site, at an oilfield at Abu Rudeis in the Sinai Peninsula. The assembly and setup of the remaining two tower cranes is set to commence within the coming weeks. With a jib length of 65m and a load capacity of up to 10 tons, the MDT 219 has one of the highest capacities of all models in the MDT CCS City tower crane range, making it ideal for  complex projects. The assembly and configuration of the cranes was led by IDP's field service team.

The COVID-19 crisis has without a doubt put us all in an exceptional situation. Though these are truly unprecedented circumstances, we have been doing everything in our power to primarily safeguard our esteemed employees and customers while simultaneously defend business continuity. By enabling them to work from home and conduct virtual meeting either for internal purposes or with customers, we were able to protect business continuity.  Thereafter, we have continued to follow prudent precautionary measures by rotating a portion of our employees, encouraging them to practice social distancing and laying out guidelines for hygiene practices. Furthermore, IDP is focused on conducting enhanced and more frequent cleaning services at our workshop and office buildings and has installed disinfectant dispensers to promote hand washing. In these more-than-challenging times, we at IDP hope that our team, customers and partners stay safe, yet are confident that we will be able to work though this together. We are making every effort to mitigate shortages and delays and are working thoroughly to continue servicing your needs.

Ever since we kicked-off level I of our Putzmeister Service Training in September of 2019, we have received continuous support and positive feedback from our clients and trainees. More than 60 engineers from leading ready-mix and construction companies such as Reliance, Titan and SamMix have registered and completed our 3-level certified service course, which consists of a total of 72 hours of theoretical and practical training. Our service training's main objective is to deliver advanced maintenance and troubleshooting knowledge, which we have acquired throughout the years and provide a complete understanding of a Putzmeister concrete pump. Furthermore, Egypt's biggest full-service construction group, Petrojet has trusted IDP Academy to train a portion of their operators as part of our 3-day Putzmeister Operators Training, which mainly consists of practical training. All trainings are taught by IDP Academy's Director, Eng. Mahmoud Saleh and Workshop Manager Eng. Talaat Haridy.
